  • Feedback from the Bookfair
  • Anarchist Bookfair. Good fun! Gave out 300 odd leaflets. Try to be

more organised next time. We should test CD images before hand - there wer one or two issues with a few of the CDs we burned. Maybe t-shirts for next time. Chris - Spainish hacklab used Fruit of the Loom. Screen printing - City Road squat does that on Saturdays.

  • Discusion on how the group/collective can/should/could be presented
  • Hacklabs Collective Identity. We like the electronic reistance idea.

Need to develop the image a bit more. Use wiki file upload, mailing list etc to develop. Pat, Asa, Reuben to work on this. Asa to ask Sara if she can help with this. We liked the sign. A banner needed? Yes for stalls, demos etc. Agreed on a basic size. Pat to work on this when he has time.

  • Wifi progress
  • Wifi. Chris explained the difference between joining a East London

mesh network and selling wifi access to the art gallery. Chris to reply on the list to explain this to Jo. Chris to bring access point for Jo's Saturday workshop (11th). Bef to bring wireless laptop to test.

  • Faster computer from RampART? Want to use this for file/print server.
  • The faster computer from Ramparts. Chris has tried to get this -

variously being used. Wants to use it for OpenOffice workshop on Sat 18th. Will aim to get it back to Freedom hacklab after 18th. To look again at this after the 18th.

  • Finances - one person to hold onto our cash?
  • Money. £40 in bag here raised from Bookfair (also from whip-round at

last month's meeting). Asa had another £10. Javier - £15 (earmarked to pay back Indymedia for our half of the table at the bookfair - Ana to sort this out). Agreed to give a £20 donation to Freedom (Sash to give to Scott on Monday). The other £30 Chris now holds on to for us. He will ask Martin to update us on how long broadband is paid up for.

  • RampART hacklab. Chris - OpenOffice workshop soon, but we have a

hardware problem. Some hardware, but needs to be assembled. Also not sure if we can assemble full machines. HDs missing. RAM needed too. Sash and Chris to co-ordinate bringing RAM over from Freedom. Chris requested help for RampARTs. Someone wants to do an open source or OpenOffice workshop (not sure which). To look at room after meeting for anyone interested.

  • Sash to build a machine to use as file and print server on Sat. 11th.

Pat to watch, Chris will help if needed.

  • Sash to ask Freedom to set us up with a PO box address.

8: Type up and mail the minutes to the list/update the wiki.

  • Asa Read out minutes, asked for amendments and agreed to mail them to the list.
